- Punishment under Section 66A – imprisonment upto three years with fine
- Punishment under Section 66B- imprisonment upto three years or fine upto rupees one lakh or with both
- Punishment under Section 66C- imprisonment upto three years and fine upto rupees one lakh rupees
- Punishment under Section 66D- imprisonment upto three years and fine upto one lakh rupees
- Punishment under Section 66E- imprisonment upto three years or fine upto two lakh rupees or with both
- Punishment under Section 66F- imprisonment for life
- Punishment for Section 84B- same punishment as provided for that particular offence in the Act
- Punishment for Section 84C- punishment for a term that may extend to one-half of the longest term of imprisonment provided for that offence or with such fine as provided for the offence or with both
