Opening Address


Dear Friends,

It is my proud privilege to welcome you to the 4th and last issue for 2009 of India Law Journal.

This issue focuses on important legal issues like institutional framework under the Competition Act, 2002, the amended IT Act, 2008 and ISP driven content filtering, growing relations between India and Bangladesh regarding foreign direct investment, expediting disposal of legal cases in government departments, automobile industry regulations in India, judicial intervention in arbitral awards, CSR with special reference to the Satyam scam, climate change issues being faced at the UN COP15 with special reference to India and emerging credit card cloning. This issue also contains a research paper on the problems of indeterminacy and autonomy of law. The interview of the month deals with various challenges that face the Competition Commission of India while introducing a competition regime in India while there is a book review on “How to manage your law office” which explains how a lawyer should manage his law office. The university focused on in this issue for the university review of the month is Cardiff Law School.

I wish to express my sincere thanks to all those who have extended their unflinching support for the launch of India Law Journal, particularly our esteemed Board of Editors.
