Opening Address

Dear Friends,

It is my proud privilege to welcome you to the 3rd issue for 2009 of India Law Journal.

This issue focuses on important legal issues like sustainable risk management and value, a recent High Court judgement on the contempt of court involving a foreign company, laws regarding online gambling and betting on cricket matches, rise of the telecommunication industry, limited liability partnerships as an alternative business vehicle, legal issues facing the box office, ethics regarding clinical trials in India and fractional ownership and its implication in the real estate sector. This month's interview of the month deals with various issues being faced by the LPO industry in India while Leiden University's Institute of International Air and Space Law features in the university review of the month section.

I wish to express my sincere thanks to all those who have extended their unflinching support for the launch of India Law Journal, particularly our esteemed Board of Editors.
