Opening Address

Dear Friends,

It is my proud privilege to welcome you to the 3rd issue of India Law Journal.

This issue focuses on legal developments focusing across topical issues like the genesis of Article 262 of the Indian Constitution and the Inter-State River Water Dispute Act, 1956, which is the second part of the series of articles on water laws. Also discussed is the Bilski case which could have a major impact on US patent law and the liberalization of India’s FDI policy among others. Since the last issue, we have been updating our legal wraps every two weeks. The Interview of the Month deals with important issues related to amendments to the Cr.PC which are being proposed by the government.

I wish to express my sincere thanks to all those who have extended their unflinching support for the launch of India Law Journal, particularly our esteemed Board of Editors.
