A senior advocate at the Delhi High Court, Mr Rajiv Nayar
has been a lawyer for the past 26 years. Having passed
out from Modern School New Delhi in 1973, he graduated from
Hindu College, Delhi in 1976 and did his LL.B in 1979 from
Law faculty, Delhi. He was a Standing Counsel for the Govt.
of India in the Delhi High Court in 1989-90 and is representing
long port folios of private sector and Public Sector Enterprises
including MMTC, NBCC, Bharti Tele-Ventures group, DCM group,
Ranbaxy Laboratories, Hindustan Times Limited, Reliance
Industries, Exide Industries, BSNL, Star TV and Public Sector
branches like RBI, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab &
Sind Bank and ICICI Bank. Among the International Corporations,
he represents UNOCAL & DAIKIN.
His field of specialization is in Corporate Law Contracts,
International Law, and International Trade. He handles
large-scale amalgamations and corporate litigations, specially
in handling recovery and civil actions and arbitrations.
He has been a badminton player and takes active interest
in politics and journalism, having written frequently for
the Pioneer and Hindustan Times.
